RUFUS - House Speaker Gretchen LeWolf has issued a statement on the construction of the 2024 Presidential Inaugural Platform which will be used to Inaugurate President-Elect Jay Laylin and Vice President-Elect Cole Bindle on November 16, 2024.
"Today, October 20, 2024, the Commission Of Presidential Inaugurations has announced that construction of the inaugural platform has been completed. They did say that Congressional leaders should enter the Capitol from the back entrance. If Congress members don't want to enter through the back entrance, they can enter through the front, but they will have to go under the platform through opening. Senators and Representatives are asked to avoid parking their cars under the platform due to poor ventilation. If you need to park at the front, please turn your vehicle off until you are ready to pull your car out."
